I can’t help but wonder what the future holds for all of humanity. I listen to the news, friends, family, co-workers, and everyone in between and what I hear is anger, fear, hope, and possibilities all rolled up into one package. What I realized is, our current society and societies all over the world are the result of our collective views and beliefs. This is what we’ve created together. There’s no one to blame because we’re all responsible for everything that has happened since humans have existed.
The question is, where do we go from here? Humanity has made great progress when you compare what societies were like just hundreds of years ago, never mind thousands of years. If you stop and think for just a moment about how life must have been only 500 years ago, you will realize that we are far better off today even though there’s still so much hate, crime, death and destruction.
So, what does this mean? Over thousands of years, our collective thinking has evolved into what we consider to be right from wrong and good from bad. The issue is, who gets to decide what is right from wrong and good from bad? Sounds so simplistic, doesn’t it? Unfortunately, it is the root of humanity’s problems. We cannot define right from wrong and good from bad definitively because everyone has different views and beliefs. Maybe, just maybe, if we all just put aside what we think is right from wrong and good from bad, we can see things through a different lens and realize we all just want to be connected, happy, loving, and compassionate humans.
What will it take? I believe if we think, feel and act as we’re all connected to one another and anything we say and do results in saying and doing it to ourselves. If we can do this, humanity will once again, evolve to a higher level of consciousness.
Please share this with the world.
